CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - Full time

Location: New Evergreen Branch Opening late 2014


Job Summary:


Responsible for building relationships with new customers and servicing and expanding relationships with existing customers. Assess customer needs and suggest or promote alternative products or services, and refer to appropriate area. Banking experience required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Provide customer service in accordance with Coastal's Core Values

• Interview and assess customer and non-customer needs and suggest appropriate products or services

• Conduct phone follow up and actively raise customer awareness of bank products and services

• Maintain an organized system for tracking and following up on customer needs

• Provide customer referrals to Private Banking, Commercial and Consumer Lending, Cash Management and Real Estate Lending.

• Provide resolution and follow through on customer issues and concerns

• Complete account documentation according to bank guidelines

• Maintain current knowledge of banking rules and regulations

• Provide back-up to the tellers and/or assist with operations duties as assigned

• Other duties may be assigned


Qualifications:

• Outgoing, professional attitude with customers, prospects and co-workers

• Proven effective verbal and written communication skills

• Required to handle multiple tasks at the same time

• Must have excellent attention to detail to ensure timely and effective communication with customer until request/issues have been resolved

• Six months banking experience required


PART TIME TELLER

Camano Island and Stanwood Branch

Part Time 20 hours per week


Job Summary:


This position requires the ability to provide prompt, accurate, friendly service and to communicate clearly and professionally in accordance with Coastal's Core Values. This position is responsible for processing a variety of customer account transactions involving the receipt and payment of money according to existing procedures and systems. This position is also responsible for identifying customer needs and suggesting solutions through referrals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Provides customer service in accordance with Coastal's Core Values

• Processes a variety of customer transactions using judgment regarding the validity of transactions; refers questionable transactions to a supervisor

• Balance Teller drawer

• Maintain current knowledge of banking rules and regulations

• Consistently refer bank products and services at every opportunity

• Answers the telephone.

• Maintains control of cash and keys at all times to prevent exposure or potential loss to bank.

• Work positively and proactively as a member of the Coastal Team.

• Other duties may be assigned.


Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outgoing, professional attitude with customers and co-workers

• Prior experience in a customer contact or consumer-oriented field preferred

• Prior cash handling experience preferred

• Basic math skills

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Prior experience with personal computers and Windows based software.


Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or

• one to two years' related experience and/or training; or

• equivalent combination of education and experience.
