Coastal in the Community

From the beginning, Coastal Community Bank has been committed to the idea that a business should give back to the communities it serves. We believe that being a good neighbor and supporting community partners is critical to our success. By enhancing the quality of life in the communities in which we live and work through our contributions and volunteer support, we hope to better serve our customers, shareholders, and employees. We are committed to making a difference.

Employee Giving Fund

Lee Pintar, Coastal Community Bank’s founder, envisioned the Employee Giving Fund to be “representative of the Bank’s commitment to community.” In 2001 employees joined together to create the Fund to support charitable causes in the communities in which we work and live. Supported entirely by donations contributed by employees, the Fund enables staff to pool their donations for the greatest impact in each community.

  • Since its inception, the Fund has awarded 461 grants totaling $822,741.
  • Coastal Community Bank pays for the maintenance fees, so all employee contributions are available for charitable giving.
  • Coastal Community Bank is the first bank in Snohomish County to create and support an employee managed fund.
  • The Fund is the oldest active Snohomish County based bank Giving Fund.
